Parapar

The simple people of Bhabokhali village perceive life very easily. Saral, with a simple mind, sees life in vibrant colors. He is deeply delighted by the games of kites, folk songs, and all the traditional festivities that take place every day. The prominent figure of the village, Dadam Malithar, organizes an annual folk song event at his house. This year, Dalim Malithar, Dadam Malithar’s son who came from Kolkata, will perform at the event. Dalim captivates everyone with his performance and wins the hearts of all the people in Bhabokhali village, including Josna. Josna, too, is enchanted by Dalim’s charm. Dalim’s exceptional wit and qualities unknowingly draw him closer to Josna in love. On the other hand, Josna patiently waits for the moment when she can marry Dalim and leave the small, glittering house in her village. Meanwhile, in the midst of waiting for the fulfillment of their love, Josna occasionally visits the neighborhood fortune-teller to seek guidance. The fortune-teller not only offers advice but also promises to find Josna a job in Kolkata, away from their village. On the other hand, driven by the desires of the people of Bhabokhali village, Josna marries Josna and embarks on a journey to Kolkata with the intention of settling there. Due to the constraints of the border, they seek refuge in the influential cultural enthusiast, Rashid Company’s hotel in Benapole. It is here that they meet Dalim, their new acquaintance. A hidden secret is revealed. Suddenly, Manjela, too, arrives with the hope of accompanying Josna to Kolkata, leaving behind her old age. In the difficult phase of life, an extreme truth is revealed, which seems inconceivable to Manjela. In fact, Dalim takes Josna to Kolkata with the intention of smuggling, using the pretext of marriage, and on the other hand, Manjela plans to settle in Kolkata for the same reason, driven by the same profession. Dalim’s professional interests and his love for Josna plunge Chinu into deep turmoil. This contradiction in human character pushes each individual onto a difficult path.
